A pair of shiny conkers gleam out from this tiny jewel of a painting. It captures the rich shiny tones of the surface of the nut and the soft purple cast shadows surrounding them.
‘What a corker’ is painted in oils on a cradled gessoed board, which means it doesn’t need to be framed as it sits comfortably in itself on a shelf or mantel or it can be hung directly on the wall. The side edges of the painting are painted in a dark neutral colour. The artwork measures 10cm x 10cm x 2cm.
