One for sorrow, Two for Joy, the Magpie is a bird surrounded by folklore and superstition. Fearsomely clever and cheeky, these birds are the unmistakeable fun characters of the British bird range. Their distinctive black and white plumage is shot with a blue irredescence which I have captured in my artwork.

This beautiful concertina folded card features my original illustration of the Magpie's egg, a pair of Magpies , and the nest they build together.

As Magpie's have such distinctive colouring, and are widespread in Britain it won't take long for the beginner birdwatcher to find them.
