This beautiful concertina folded card features my original illustration of our beloved Blackbird. The design includes the Blackbird's egg, the elegant fellow himself, and the nest where he helps to rear his chicks.

My favourite early spring sound is the call of the Blackbird, one of the first birdsongs, its so evocative of things getting going again after winter and the promise of new starts in spring.

Blackbirds are also known to keep close to where they were born so it is likely that the bird you spot in the garden is the same one each time.

I print my concertina greetings cards on a thick 300gsm high-quality textured eco-card using vegan inks. The card looks beautiful unfolded and framed. Add the Jay and the Magpie cards for an instant mini gallery of British birds.
