Our native Small Tortoiseshell Butterfly is featured on this delicate greetings card - a design from my illustrations of British Butterflies.  You have a very good chance of spotting the Small Tortoiseshell butterfly all over the UK.  Brightly coloured with distinctive mottled markings in oranges yellows and brown, this is a very pretty visitor to our gardens and hedgerows.
